SUV's...giving you an "excuse" to go to work?

I have NOTHING against SUV's by ANY means...I'm a die-hard Republican for God's sakes... !!!

However...I must bring up this important perspective...

I was recently discussing various vehicles with my cousin, who told me that she felt like she was being pressured into buying an SUV for the sheer fact that, "it would be easier to maneuver in snow or other bad weather..."

Honestly, my immediate reaction was this...

"Not EVERYONE has an SUV, therefore, your not the ONLY one who is going to have to worry about maneuvering around during a snowstorm, so why the HELL would you want to promote the fact that you have an exceptional vehicle for any weather? Don't you know what that means? It means that you will have an EXCUSE to go into work...you will never again be able to use the excuse, "well, my cars really bad in the snow," or "i'm snowed in, I can't get my car out..."

Again, not everyone HAS an SUV, so it's not imperative that you buy one!

Why would you want to CREATE an EXCUSE to go INTO work? If your boss KNOWS that your vehicle handles AMAZINGLY in the rain, snow, sleet or HAIL...they are DEFINITELY not going to look kindly upon you during treacherous weather...they will almost EXPECT you to come into work even if they tell everyone to GO HOME or NOT TO COME IN!

HELL...they might even suggest that you give everyone ELSE a ride TO AND FROM WORK!!!!!!!!

Wow, I DEFINITELY would not want THAT job.........

Unless you live in Florida or California...you MIGHT want to think twice about getting an SUV...
